Today was zhiwen's brother engagement ceremony.. or so i thought.. but i was informed by his mother that engagement is not the "IN" thing now.
Instead, nowadays people straight away ROM, so that in the eyes of the law they will be legally married.
Hmm.. u learn something new everyday.

Well we were at my house and i thought we were late, so i was in a hurry. While i was putting on mascara, i poked myself with the brush.
Never thought that such an innocent looking little thing with spikes could be such a deadly weapon. This is probably the 2nd or 3rd time im using it. The first time i was talking to zhiwen and i poked my eye and it hurted so bad.

So this time round i made sure i put full attention when i was putting my mascara. Don think i was even breathing.
When i was applying it to my 2nd eye, i suddenly thought of the previous poking incident and tot what a stupid s i was to poke my eye, and at the moment i poked myself again. Talk about being stupid.

anyway.
we were earli, and when we went to fetch zhiwen mum upstairs where the ceremony was at the 4th floor (it was at calton hotel or something), an old, old lady wearing a kerbaya stepped off the car also.

Zhiwen had no idea who she was, and zhiwen mum just smiled and din introduce us. Not wanting to be rude, i was on the verge of calling her "ah ma" le but i din. Lucky.

Zhiwen and I greeted her " Hello"
She replied in perfect english " Hello, are you the one getting married today?"

I was stunned and flustered.
I waved my hands frantically and denied "No No!"

She smiled and looked at zhiwen "So this is your wife?"

I was again stunned
"No No! only girlfriend. Not wife"

In my mind i was thinking how come this old lady, who must be a relative of theirs, is so blur.

Only after zhiwen brother appeared then we realised that she was the lady who would solemnise the wedding.
Goodness. I hope i din use the word wrongly here. *Disclaimer: In the event that the word solemnise i have used is a vulgarity, please laugh and forget it*

Another highlight of the ceremony is photo taking.

The Photographer first called for Family of the couple.
Then he called for Friends of the couple.
Goodness.
Where did i fit in??

So in the end i din take any photos.
Haha.
